This week in Kenny’s world: Paperback and stuff

sentient paperback

The proof copy for Sentient arrived this week so I’m pleased to announce the release of the paperback on Amazon! All you lovely techno-phobes can now get a copy to thumb through and store in your over flowing libraries. It still hasn’t been linked to the kindle edition (which has reviews up) but hopefully Amazon will sort its act out soon.

In other news (Facebook fans will know this already), I was recently asked if I’d like to become a Staff Reviewer on Readwave. Yeah you guessed it, I said yes! How could I not? I thought the site was pretty amazing when I joined and it’s getting even better with all the helpful improvements the team has been implementing. Readers (not just Staff Reviewers) provide constructive comments on stories, not just “I think this is great” or “awful”. So you can imagine how excited I was when the offer came through to do more than just post stories and pass the occasional comment. Looking forward to many more hours of reading works from fellow writers. Now, if I can only make out time to do some more writing…

This Week In Kenny’s World…

aversion paperbackSo much has happened in the last few weeks but nothing gave me as much joy as I felt when I received the proof copy of Aversion’s paperback on Monday. After a few tweaks (and gasps at my formatting oversights) it is now available for purchase via Amazon for all ye technophobes at a very attractive price of $6.99 (£4.52). The e-book is still only $0.99 (£0.77) so if you ever decide to join us screen squinters, you’ve got that option too.

In other related news, I reached the 10,000 words mark of Sentient (Book Two of The Mentalist Series) this week. Really excited about the way the story is going and I can’t wait to share it with my beta readers in a few months time.

Also, the lovely Becky of Barmy Becky Book Blog reviewed The Other Slipper and you can check out what she thought here.

Finally, I’m thinking of starting a new feature on the blog (possibly from next week) but it’s still under consideration so I’ll let you guys know what it’s all about as soon as I’m certain it’s going ahead.

Take care everyone.

The Other Slipper paperback is finally here!

It’s finally here! I squealed with delight when I got home and saw the  package from Createspace last night. I’m so much more excited about this than I was about the release of the e-version but that’s probably because this feels so much more real (you can probably see that I already bent the cover with all my eager page turning). I had a few last-minute tweaks to make after reviewing the proof (oh, the woes of formatting) and now the book has been approved for distribution in the USA and Europe via Amazon. To be honest, the e-version looks so much more appealing when you look at the cost of the paperback ($9.99 – ah, the colossal cost of printing) but not everyone likes to read off a screen so this will give those people a chance to get a hold of the book. Please spread the word as usual and thank you once again for all your support.

Link for purchase via Createspace is: https://www.createspace.com/4007967

I will post the Amazon link once it comes up.
